Can't wait to migrate to Japan next year! I pretty much gave up hope on europe, especially since the weak reaction against russia just casually violating NATO airspace. Here in germany things are going downhill fast with the Nazis from AfD gaining more and more traction. I guess we simply didn't learn anything from history. I considered the UK for emigrating and getting out of germany, because I really don't want to just wait until Nazis are at power again. But seeing stuff like that really turns me off.

My japanese is advancing fast and I already found a place in Yokohama to stay at. Only got a visa for 6 months, but my contact in Japan says things should be fine when I found a company in Japan and hire 2-3 japanese workers.

Yes, I know 参政党 is also a thing and gaining traction and that xenophobia is a worldwide phenomenon. But I still consider it to be especially dangerous in germany. We really should be the last people on earth to ever even think about nationalism and all that bullshit that spreads nothing but pure hatred. So I'm getting the hell out of here. =P

Sorry, just had to get that one out when I read that.

Same story in every country. Look at people's misery and give them a simple solution they can believe in while you fill your own pockets with the knowledge that you can repeat this cycle over and over again.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

I would say that the number one issue of these protesters is immigration. Britain overwhelmingly wants less of it. But three tory governments and a labour one was not able to fulfill the will of the people. Perhaps the elites want to remember now that they all live in a democracy where majority rule ought to be applied.

By the way, I read that 100.000 is underestimating the number of protesters by quite a bit.

You guys literally tried to take over the world a few hundred years ago.  No country wanted you coming into their countries.

And to think that after the WWII, the UK Labor Government, with the support of the Parliament created social programs to recruit foreigners to work on the country, seeking economical recovery.

So did the Romans, and the Germans, and the French, and the Spanish, should we still be angry with them in 2025???

Nobody mentioned we should be angry with them until today, although if the effects of their colonization in your country linger until today, it's a valid feeling. The thing is, they occupied foreign territory when they wanted in the past, and now they don't want people to do the same with them in the present

Is there no immigration in those countries?  The UK wont stay out of Spain for their holidays, and Spain doesn't want you to come visit at least in the volume.

There's A LOT of immigration in those countries, why do you think the AFD is getting closer to power in Germany?, or Marine Le Pen nearing the French presidency?.

As for the UK not staying away from Spain, are you referring to those who work hard and pay thousands of pounds to go on a weeks holiday once a year for a break in the sun? Or are you lumping every single British tourist, including myself in with those who just go to get drunk? I for one have always respected countries I visit and have never caused a problem.
