That's true, and yet. 750dollars for a ps5 pro.
Lol.⁸

I was going to ask why people would feel the need to upgrade at this point, but then I realized that the console has been out since 2020. Boy time flies.
But going back to the topic, at this point, with indies becoming bigger and bigger, AAA game publishers needing to downsize their titles to stay afloat (after all, free to play and live services need to work on as many systems as possible to make a profit, so why push the bar?), and hardware costs increasing due to politics and general economic woes, what's going to be the justification for a PS6?

PS6/Xbox Next shouldn't release until this clown is out of office (2029) otherwise they're going to be expensive as fuck, and they're already going to be expensive as fuck even in normal times, Lol.

Between COVID's impact on supply chains & inflation and the orange moron's trade wars this year, this has been a chaotic generation. It's the only one where there's been actual price increases. And when the increases happen, it hurts sales. We saw it in Japan when the PS5 increased in price last September. We saw it earlier this year in the U.S. when the XBS increased in price. It won't surprise me if the recent increases to the Switch 1's price hurts it sales. But I guess a console maker would rather deal with a drop in sales volume than a loss in per-unit profitability.
If this price increase sticks for the rest of the generation, there's no way the PS5 fully catches up to the PS4, not even in the U.S. I do have a feeling this generation might be extended out to 2028 or 2029 to see which way the winds are blowing politically before they make any decisions that could be impacted by future trade war BS.

All 3 have now raised prices of their consoles (minus Switch 2 - for now) due to the bad market conditions.

I don't think that is going to change anything. Once prices increase like this, and companies see the product selling well anyway (see the Switch 2), why would they bother with going back to the way they were before?
Ps6 should should come out in the end of 2029, anything earlier would be stupid.
