It took a bit of time, but I did it.

This run is from a couple of days ago. I'm really sorry for the timer covering a bit of the left corner of the screen. I was so focused on the game that I only noticed it after the ending.

Well, I made A LOT of mistakes, I died a couple of times, and I still don't understand some of the tricks to get a better time, but still that was a nice run. If you watch a really professional runner you'll understand what I mean. Well, for now I'll rest a bit, but I still want to get a least a sub 1:40:00.

Here's the run:

I dunno if that is a great time or not, but kudos!
I'll watch some of your run, nice to know you have a channel.

Edit: Woah, I was already subscribed to you, when I clicked it I got unsubbed, lol (already subscribed again).

Any particular reason why the video is only 360p?

Thank you. The video is 360p because my internet is not good enough to stream at higher resolutions.

Well, I think anything below 2 hours to be at least respectable. But there are a LOT of runners who can do it in around 1:30:00.

World Record is 1:21:10 by a japanese runner named oosui.

I see, well hopefully you can get better internet connection soon, I remember watching a lot of 360p streams back in my slow internet times as well.

Seems like you shaved around 5 minutes from your previous record, nice!

Probably running the japanese version because text is faster, right?

Yes, the JP version is a bit faster than US.

Actually it's not that faster, but you know, must save the frames.

Congrats on the personal record. I've always found speed running really impressive and more interesting than esports.

Thank you! I watch speedrunners on Twitch since 2012. I even made a couple of friends. It's even better when they're running your favorite games.

Since I don't play online focused games, I'm not really into esports.

Super Mario 64 is the game I watch the most speedrunning on. I'm sure you know of him, but Summoning Salt on YouTube does great breakdowns on records.

I don't play much PvP anymore and don't care for esports. I tend to stick with single player games or if I am gaming with friends we tend to stick with co-op/PvE.

Back in the years there was this guy on Twitch, "Siglemic". He had a lot of followers and a very impressive skill on Super Mario 64. I always thought he was going to be the WR holder someday, but then, he stopped streaming. I think he retired.

Here's his run from Games Done Quick 2013.

Those Games Done Quick like events are really fun to watch, I'm quite a lot of times getting myself watching some speedrun or letting it play in the TV while I use my phone after coming back from work.
