Switch hardware is very impressive.

PS4 hardware on the other hand...

PS4 releases did ok.
TMS was a non-factor as expected.

But Brain Training and Ring Fit will carry a lot until Mystery Dungeon and Animal Crossing.

Switch maintains over 30% yoy growth and ps4 has low sales as expected. It just received 300k of software sales from new releases and sold the same as last week. Because new software doesn't do much for sales of super old hardware.

Switch is almost 35% up in comparison with last year's same week!

Week 4 will give the first glimpse of 2020's baseline. 2019 had settled at 50-65k before the obligatory slowdown leading up to Golden Week in week 18. The first major task for 2020 is to build up a lead of ~400k units before week 38 in order to offset the Switch Lite launch. If the YTD is 250k higher by the time of Golden Week, then 2020 is good to go because 2019 was weak between Golden Week and the release of Super Mario Maker 2. Said 250k should be easy to reach with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so the only real mystery is which games Nintendo will release in the second half of the year and if they'll result in another strong holiday season.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
