Top 10

NSW - 5
PS4 - 5

This week marks the fourth best selling week for SW and fourth worst selling for the PS4. YtY comparing is down by 20k because the data used for last year is MC, but seeing y the sales table it did almost flat comparing to the same Famitsu numbers.

Week 49 should be interesting.

Yeah okay so this Switch is unstoppable and Pokemon is a clear slam dunk. Anything else argued against it is just a joke.

Let's look at it: $45 pricepoint vs $60 pricepoint, 3DS has crap digital rates, Switch's is much much higher, fan and outsider backlash, smaller installbase. It's a damned success, let's move on.

"Slam Dunk" might be an exaggeration. It's sales are fine, just as the game is fine.

It could have and should have been better. That goes for both the game and the sales.

2 years ago people were saying sales would be through the roof for the first pokemon console game.

weird, didn't know they use US$ in Japan - you might want to look up the yen prices of these pokemon games, spoiler: the price difference is smaller

What released on the Switch this week last year? Or was there a pricecut?
Theres no way hardware numbers should be down with a recent switch model release and pokemon

The same downplay was also there for Pokemon Let's Go... until the 10 million number came out. So, we shall see.

4950 yen vs 5720 yen is just a 15.5% price increase, while $45 to $60 is a 33% increase

Googled it:

Pokemon Sword/Shield - 5980 Yen - https://nintendosoup.com/pokemon-sword-and-shield-double-pack-announced-in-japan/

Pokemon Sun/Moon - 4,980 Yen - https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/news/pokemon-sun-and-pokemon-moon-now-available-in-japan-us-and-australia-1627438

That would be closer to $50 vs $60.
