Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 announced exclusively for Switch (developed by Team Ninja)

I'll say that I was surprised when they announced Switch exclusivity. I'm guessing that it was easy for Nintendo to secure it since the series isn't a huge seller.

Nevermind

Hype announcement. Another exclusive for 2019. Definitely picking it up

It looks pretty interesting. Marvel is WAY bigger than it was when the first 2 games came out.
I think it make sense its exclusive since Project Avengers or whatever SE is working on will be on PS4/One.

Crazy announcement, didn't expect it. Can't wait to play it

Should not hasve named it ultimate alliance 3 thats fucked up if its console exclusive
Marvel United Heroes is better

This is a new game I presume? I could have sworn there was something with a similar ring to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Maybe I'm thinking of Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

The original game sold over 4 million on consoles, and MUA2 sold about 2.5 million despite meh reviews. Those were solid numbers.

If I had to guess, this could be something like PS4 Spider-Man, where Disney could have gone to Koei Tecmo or Team Ninja and asked if they were interested in making a Marvel action game. And they might have decided to make it a Switch exclusive to keep development costs down, figuring that the Switch's design and user base is most likely to attract local cooperative play. They're also working on Nioh 2, so maybe this would require different resources depending on where both games are in development.

Only on the Switch...as it should be.

Horde the greatness on the Switch.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

I really enjoyed the first game. The second one was a bit of a step down. Will be interesting to see how this one does. Cool they brought it back though.
