With the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I was looking forward to buying and playing it down the line, but now after being in this thread I've decided to give the first Xenoblade Chronicles yet another go, since I'll hold my hands up and say I've never finished it, not even close... loading my save file up on my Wii U (Got the digital version) and my longest playtime is six hours before giving up, lol.
Since I really want to play Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I'm setting myself a challenge, that I can only buy it if I finish the first game... not sure about Xenoblade Chronicles X, don't own it and I hear it's not quite as good, so meh.
I think the thing that made me stop playing everytime was that not only does it begin slow, but I found it a little overwhelming with all the stuff it throws at you through tutorials and stuff, yet at the same time felt like I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to be doing...
If anyone has any tips or tricks that will help my playthrough to be more fun and/or easy, feel free to leave them here, although try and keep them as spoiler free as possible.
Also another question, specifically for people who played it on Wii U... did you play on a TV or by using the Wii U Gamepad? Graphics look smoother and therefore better on the gamepad, but the text is smaller and if I remember right, could be a bit troublesome to read at times, whereas on a TV the graphics look like, for lack of better wording; complete arse, but the text is very much readable... and no matter how much I mess with the settings on my tele, I can't get the colour settings to match the gamepad, and I'm not sure which I prefer, lol.
