What games are you currently playing?
-Serious Sam 2 (PC). It's way more punishing in single player than in co-op, I can tell you that. The hordes of Mental can be a tough cookie to crack, specially in some of the special levels.
-SMT Persona 4 (PS2 emu). Once I finished Rule of Rose, I needed something more colourful and less confusing. Finally, after years of hearing praise and admiration of Persona 4, I decided to give it a go. And you know what? It IS that good. The calendary system limits me somehow, though, I want to grind properly, but I have to follow a time limit. I'm stuck on the level where I'm fighting a boss straight out of 3D Dot Game Heroes with a baby demon inside, and it keeps killing me. Any help?
-Etrian Odyssey 4 (3DS). I find the Etrian series very relaxing. I love exploring the dungeons and making my own maps, and I'm aprecating more and more the fact I can create my own characters instead of having premade ones. I can just imagine their little stories in my head.
What games have you completed in the past month?
-Rule of Rose (PS2 emu). I've been interested in this game for a long time, but I was never able to play it until recently. It's a great story, but not as great gameplay. There's a reason the camera and fighting of Silent Hill and Resident Evil fell out of style years ago. hey just feel stiff and restrictive nowadays. The story was confusing, but it was interesting to see other people's conclusions an ideas about it.
-Pokemon Snakewood (GBA romhck). This was a fun hack. Pokemon overrun with zombies and hellbent on some sort of demonic/eldritch destruction. The story is actually great, I can't believe someone took the time and efford to make so many new areas and puzzles, and the difficulty seems what I would like from regular games.
-Plague Inc. Evolved (PC). The mental worm is overpowered, beat more than half of the game in one day thanks to it. Only the fungi and the Smallpox plagues are too difficult, otherwise it was a fun game.
-CoD World at War (PC). This one is one of the better ones. The setpieces are great, the campaigns are fun and you can appreciate when the CoD games build some story througout its series.
-Pokemon Platinum. Regular Nuzloque (DS emu). FINALLY! After years of trying and failing, I finally completed a nuzloque in Platinum! Fuck you Crasher Wake, Rival and Cyrus, you won't be able to kill my pokemons ever again!
What games are you planning to play soon?
-Pokemon Platinum Random Nuzloque (DS emu). After finally beating the original, a randomized version is on its way. Let us hope this is easier than the original, or I'll need another year to beat. I want to colose the 4th gen as soon as possible, and I haven't finished HG yet!
-Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (3DS). I'll buy the retail version when it cames out, it seems like an interesting platformer.
What gaming related purchase have you made recently?
Nothing new bought, daving for things later down the line.
What gaming related purchase are you planning to make in the future?
Outside of Pokemon Moon and Shantae, probably Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven for the 3DS. Has anyone played it? Is it good? Also, I'll probably get some of those Picross games, I want to use those silver coins on my MyNintendo account.
