Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What games that are currently now out in the market will come to the NX?

Tagged games:

It's been a while since my last NX thread, but with all that speculation about the false controller, I couldn't resist. So let's talk something else than the NX controller.

We've been getting more and more reports that the only companies that have the NX dev kids are the big publishers and possibly some smaller devs very close to Nintendo (and Nintendo devs themselves, of course). With the console aiming for a 2016 release, there is very little time for making a lot of brand new games for the system. So we might see an initial WiiU situation, where some devs just port older titles to the device to test the waters. Of course, the ones that will count the most are the most recent multiplats and Nintendo exclusives, but If the NX trully is easier to port to, it will get a decent amount of older PS4-XBone games. The question is, which ones?  What games that are currently now out in the market will come to the NX?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I'd say Uncharted 4 and Halo 5 are a given :p

I dunno, probably stuff like AC: Syndicate, Far Cry something, MAYBE The Witcher III/Dark Souls III

I hope none of them besides Minecraft.
the NX don't need games that are already out on other systems, it needs the game what will be released on them, and it need them the same day.

Metroid Prime Trilogy HD
Super Mario Galaxy Dilogy HD
Super Smash Bros. Brawl HD
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
Xenoblade Chronicles + X HD
Resident Evil 4: NX Edition
Donkey Kong Country Returns Again
Kirby's Epic Yarn HD

Super Mario 3D World+Land Remastered
Super Smash Bros. for NX
Mario Kart 8 NX
New Super Mario Maker
Pikmin Trilogy HD
Bayonetta 1&2 Definitive Edition
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze HD
Splatoon HD
FAST Racing NX
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker HD

If nintendo is the only one to support it (like the wii U was) then, the fewer remakes it gets the better.
Put all studios at work, makeing new games.

Coasting by on HD versions and remakes, is a privillage, you can take when your ahead.
When theres plenty of others makeing fantastic new games for your system.

Its not something you do, if your lacking 3rd party.

Ubisoft games are good picks because Ubisoft is notorious for throwing cheaply made games at Nintendo platforms. The Witcher 3 is very doubtful, Dark Souls 3 is out of the question.

In direct response to the thread, does anybody really care?

If they'd release some games I don't own yet, I would care. Also, why would Dark Souls be out of the question? Namco-Bandai and Nintendo are in good terms.

This is why.

Ouch. Well, if the NX picks up steam fast, we might see him "changing his opinion" in the future.

Oddly enough, Dark Souls 2 is the worst Soul-esque game of the franchise.

As for the OP, I'd love for a Dead Rising in the vein of Chop till you drop to be released on a Nintendo console. I mean, it was inferior to the original Dead Rising, but still a good fun nonetheless, plus exclusive extras.

The Witcher is what immediately came to my mind when I read the title

All the candy crush games, Snake remastered, Bubble bobble titfishs return.
