Nintendo quarter result is out. And, that is. In the second quarter of sales, Splatoon has sold more than what Mario Kart 8 sold in 2014 July to September.

Splatoon ( Jul - Sep 2015 ) = 800,000

Mario Kart 8 ( Jul - Sep 2014 ) = 670,000

NOTHING stop this beast.

And 2.82m first quarter ship+Digital. :)

That's why Splatoon won't beat MK8 LT sales. But is out of the question, Splatoon has better legs.

We Will probabily see ~6 million For Splatoon and ~8 million For Mario Kart 8.

Insane numbers for both.

And next gen, Splatoon is gonna become bigger than Halo. Just. WOW.

Nowadays I guess more leniency is in order though since disproving your claim with outdated numbers require more effort.

For a new IP and for a game where everyone thought that it was going to be another Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2, a game which got a pretty okay/low meta and a game with less content at launch.........

Hardly, NX will probably come out next year so I cant see Splatoon selling 3m more, but 4-5m definitely possible.

Glad to see Splatoon is doing well : 3 I guess people really like the game. I gotta say, it is pretty good, unique, and innovative, so the game really doesn't go unmerited
