Ash was built up into having a legitimate chance of winning the league for once, then he lost anyways.

Time to cancel the anime because it's damaging Pokémon's good name.

I know! The amourshipping will end up being a troll aswell, creating another wave of flames that'll cancel out the current flames, that's how fire can work in real life so surely it'll work the same here, probably!

Well people don't like being trolled and bullshited. You'd think that'd be common sense, but the heads of the Pokemon anime seem to think we enjoy it, why else would they do this! (seriously there's literally no other reason)

They only needed to give him one victory, he wins the tournament, but because he loves to travel around the world, he steps down from his position as champion, and he goes to another region. That's it! It would have left everyone satisfied! What's the point of watching the leage if you always know he's going to lose?

I feel like they are saving the Ash big tournament win for the finale of the anime (I'm not so sure because I don't watch it but I think that's their plan), but like you said Ash journey doesn't have to end if he wins the league. Maybe because of the backlash they will hand him the W next season

The anime will end the moment Pokemon stops existing. And I think they will do something with the Alolan tournament but, as he have seen in the trailers, they don't have a traditional gym-league per-se, so even if he wins, it's going to feel like a copout. He loses the Kanto league but wins the Orange Ligue, he loses the Hoenn league but wins the Battle Frontier (who does that? who beats the battle frontier but is unable to win the league? WTF?).
