I have always found Jim Sterling's video series to be an interesting one, and though I don't always agree with them, I do appreciate the light he sheds on certain subjects. And although the series has never been discussed about on VGChartz (except the PS4 vs. Xbox One video because we can't help ourselves... but that's another story entirely. ^_^), I think it'd be neat to have a go to thread for his weekly shows.

forgot to watch the latest one, and also glad to see a thread on the Jimquisition :D

Squeezol's Fanclub Member? is that how it works?

Why can't I hold all these no gaemz?

Always looking to improve my awful drawings ;_;

Beautiful ending. I wept.

If anyone was wondering, the term "whale" is gambling slang.

1. One who spends freely and extravagantly, as for luxuries or entertainment.
2. One who gambles rashly or for high stakes.
3. An organization, such as a large corporation, that spends or invests liberally or rashly.

I find it very interesting and telling that these sorts of consumers are the new industry gold mine. Instead of focusing on creating compelling content in which consumers will gladly pay, they're now chasing the deep pockets of rash and extravagant spenders within the monetization market.

Also just to bring this up since it relates to this weeks Jimquisition. Co-optional podcast 29 ft Jim Sterling.

Skip to about 1:28:00 for the topic on GDC panels.

Damn, he's fucking tall!

I thought GDC was better than that...up to this point, I honestly viewed GDC as "one of the good ones" that wasn't trending towards commercialism and anti-consumer practices. Boy was I wrong...

BS like this is what is driving me to hate the games industry more and more (even though I still love games) and I hope this market implodes in the near future.

I would like more threads on the Jimquition because he makes good content that may actually breed a good discussion every once in a while. Unfortunately, I feel as if he said pretty much everything there is to say on this particular topic...

LMFAO at the ending

(then again the ending to almost every jimquistion puts a smile on my face)
