Forums - Nintendo - Wii U could probably sale an extra million if Nintendo ports all their classic games into the eshop

Who wouldn't want to have a Nintendo system that plays all their game? They should hire as many developers as possible to get as many retro games into the Wii U eshop by this year. They can even put the Gameboy and Gameboy advanced games since the GamePad is portable. And most importantly, let all those games be played off screen.

And let Wii Games be played off screen with the Gamepad controls if they don't use motion controls!

This will happen for sure...someday.

It might entice some of the core market but the casual everyday people won't even notice until after they had already bought the system I'd imagine.

They have some of the major classic titles on Wii U already... and even if you can't get them on the Wii U VC, you can just as easily buy them on the Wii VC and still play them off your Wii U...

I like the suggestion though, but I don't think it does much to sell hardware.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Would be amazing to play wii games +gc on the gamepad, Really hated some games due to the Wiimote and awkwards controls. Would be amazing to play them without it.

Most antecipated games: Mario Kart 8 and Warlords of Draenor.

I hate when people use this excuse. If you do that, you have to buy an additional Classic Controller (for most of them). That's stupid. That would be a solid argument if the gamepad or Pro Controllers were backwards compatible with the Wii VC, but it's not, so this rediculously overplayed "alternative" is cumbersome and annoying. The only Wii VC games I own are the ones I got for free from Club Nintendo that I'm waiting to transfer for a dollar when they come out for the Wii U.

Well the point of this thread is the suggestion that Nintendo would have a somewhat significant boost in sales if they ported classic games to their eShop to which I disagreed.

Whether you find the Wii VC a cumbersome option still doesn't change the fact that it  still exists and people interested in the games on that VC aren't going to let a $20 controller stop them. However, I would honestly prefer if they did a better job on getting the Wii VC games onto the Wii U...

Yahh no, no it would not.

A new FPS that catches on might though, not that they ever do something as smart as that.

Wii U just need major price cuts and A whole lot of Advertisements.. That system is so badly advertise...I keep saying it. ..sigh.

Praise the One.

It's a great idea, but you have to realize that they have to get permissions from other companies to make certain games playable on VC. It can be tricky especially if a company who make a classic game is no longer in business. But I think it would increase sales, probably not too noticeably, but it would definitely give people another reason to own a Wii U.
