Nintendo is their own worst enemy, the Virtual Console is the perfect example.
A plethora of subpar titles that sold badly then, and will sell badly now. (Crash'n the Boys Street Challenge...?)
Fantastic games of yore that are overpriced into day's world. (Super Mario Bros. is $4.99! It's worth less that 99 cents.)
Games being released at an unreasonably slow pace.

Intermixing the 3DS's and Wii U's Virtual Console libraries, increasing sales of old games, but harming potential sales of Wii Us. This is something that really bugs me. Allow cross-play as an incentive to own both systems. 3DS VC you get Game Boy, Color, Game Gear, Advance, and DS games. Wii U VC you get NES, Master System, Genesis, SNES, TurboGrafx, 64, GameCube, DreamCast, and Wii games.
