PenguinZ said: They have some of the major classic titles on Wii U already... and even if you can't get them on the Wii U VC, you can just as easily buy them on the Wii VC and still play them off your Wii U...
I like the suggestion though, but I don't think it does much to sell hardware. |
I hate when people use this excuse. If you do that, you have to buy an additional Classic Controller (for most of them). That's stupid. That would be a solid argument if the gamepad or Pro Controllers were backwards compatible with the Wii VC, but it's not, so this rediculously overplayed "alternative" is cumbersome and annoying. The only Wii VC games I own are the ones I got for free from Club Nintendo that I'm waiting to transfer for a dollar when they come out for the Wii U.

Well the point of this thread is the suggestion that Nintendo would have a somewhat significant boost in sales if they ported classic games to their eShop to which I disagreed.
Whether you find the Wii VC a cumbersome option still doesn't change the fact that it still exists and people interested in the games on that VC aren't going to let a $20 controller stop them. However, I would honestly prefer if they did a better job on getting the Wii VC games onto the Wii U...
