O2 is now offering Xbox One on contract

Mobile phone network O2 has added the Xbox One to its in-store console line-up.

As detailed on the O2 site, Consumers can now pay £99.99 upfront for the machine as long as they sign up to a two-year £52 month contract.

For the money they get an Xbox One console, FIFA 14, 12 months Xbox Live membership and a Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows 8 smartphone.

Of course, that means that while potential customers face a significantly reduced outlay to acquire the machine they also face the prospect of paying £1,348 in total for the machine, although this cost is slightly offset by the fact they’re also getting a phone with some included usage.

O2 is offering a similar deal for PS4 consoles bundled with a Sony Xperia Z1.

Both deals are only available in stores.

It works out at about £520ish for the console side of it when you take into account the cost of the phone and the mobile contract. Not a bad deal really.

That'd be an amazing deal in the states since we're literally stuck with 2 year contracts anyway. And I have the Lumia 1020. Its an amazing, phone!!

I would take it. If I wanted a phone and a console.

I'd rather just pay for the console fully upfront.

Odd pairing for consumers given existing phone contracts. I wonder how offset the phone price monthly is.

Also lol, PS has the better hardware in phone while Xbox has the better camera!

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Damn, I would have jumped on this!!

I hope they manage something similar here in Belgium, either Sony or MS, I don't care.

Dunno about the UK tariffs, but here in Belgium 60 euros a months is pretty standard (it's one of the most expensive countries for gsm services i think)

I would jump in.

I would buy it, but I would prefer one with only the console and xblg.

£52???? That's extortion.
