I'm just gonna ignore this thread...anytime America is mentioned, it just turns into an American bash-fest all day. Because yes, we're all the same and think alike, and our country defines us...so it's all good.

Do you think there might be a reason for that? If you think you are different from the Americans everyone dislikes, aren't you angry?

You've got no right to judge people you've never met...don't tell me who I am. Have you even been to America? It's always fine and dandy to bash American people without considering that 300 million people are not hive minded, and are decent people. I don't go bashing Polish people for being stupid.

I don't like the stupid people in this country, but you've apparently never been around a decent community, of which there are probably more than you realize. We don't all get drunk, watch Nascar, and beat our wives.

Sure I'm angry about the stupid choices our government has made...that was before I could vote, and literally could not do anything about it.  I'm more angry at people who make assumptions about a mass of people...it's called discrimination and it's bullshit.

Whats funny is that not all people who watch Nascar are redneck wife beaters. So you yourself has just made a cultural generalization. You are no better than he is.

You should really watch this movie, along with everyone else...

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

Quit pushing that propoganda on us...the link has already been provided.

Why don't you read some reviews of that movie instead:

http://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/06/jay-kinney-reviews-z.html

I could barely watch that whole movie. Asserting that Christianity (my religion by choice) is under control of the uber-rich in order to control the masses is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard. And there's no proof of any of the 9/11 or other high-up government conspiracies.

Zeitgeist is largely a movie meant to feed foreigners misleading ideas about America so that they feel better about themselves.

Actually, I have seen this movie and I must say that most of it makes perfect sense. Religion is complete BS. Have you studied history at all? I have, and I must say that everything said in that movie is completely true. The similarities between the various "gods and saviors" is so great that there is no way that any of them could be true.

Please, all they did was take generalities of different religions and relate them. In the immense history of man and the thousands of religions, there are bound to be similarities, and of those that are mentioned, there is no exact certainty of thos being true such as Horus. There is such little records of the specifics of each of these religions.

I love America, always have, always will.

Anyone who goes in for every word Micheal Moore spews can go drink his cool-aid.

I wouldn't live anywhere else, and I could give a damn what other people think of me.

If you hate America so much, imo, I hear Cuba has some openings. :P

I'm a european, so i'm fine. Also I didn't say Cuba is better than US or the US is bad, I only said that the weak point of the USA is the bad healthcare and that's a (and maybe the only) strong point of Cuba.

That bit has nothing to do with politics. Its saying that we have a ton of stuff here that we take for granted.

Yes, that's true. But the article started with: 'The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President.' I can't see, what all the stuff that we reached many years ago have something to do with the actual government. That's the point there this article fails. People are not unhappy with having electricity and water. People are unhappy with a government that leads the country into wars and has a bad impact on economy. And I think some people are unhappy, that the actual US-government turned a financial plus of the state into the biggest deficit of all time.

who do you think could have done a better job? Gore, Kerry?

I would have Bush over any other bastard who ran against him.

Gayness is wrong.
Abortion is wrong (except for rape). You shouldn't be Fucking if you're not married (especially if you're under 18). And if you are, you should be able to face the natural consequences.

I'm glad he is a moral president (unlike the last democrat we had in the White House as president.

Democratic supporters are never fuckin happy. If you want change, wait for the next election. Don't bitch and bash. It is impossible to make everyone happy.

If Kerry had won the election, we would be DUCKING BOMBS RIGHT NOW. HE WANTED TO NEGOTIATE WITH AL-KEIDA YOU CAN'T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS, DUMBASS.

A bush-fanboy. How cute!

gayness is wrong so is abortion? Now you bring in that it fucking is wrong?

Im under 18 and ive had sex, and guess what no consequences. Just because your beliefs state this does not mean they are right, you are completely intertwining religion and politics, not everyone has the same religion of you.

Moral is a relative term. Who says he is moral when we go into iraq for oil when you have starving children all around the world, and you have REAL countrys that are REALLY under dictatorship.

ROFL at the kerry comment, you have your head way to far up your ass my friend.

This one would take wayyy too long to edit... Let's just say although my beliefs are not facts, My personal beliefs have scientific data that can be used to back them up, but not prove them.

To keep it short: Life starts at conception, that's how science defines it. Now, mainstream science will say that sexual orientation originates at birth... While that isn't really concrete, I find it hilarious that the same people who side on the mainstream scientific community for pro-gay beliefs, refuse to acknowlege the scientific community's ruling on the criteria that define life... Also, I realize not everyone has the same beliefs as me, and that my opinion on fornication is relative to the individual, I do believe people should still have to deal with any consequences from their sexual actions...

I agree that the war in Iraq was stupid now, but I still think Kerry would have also been a terrible president.

I am nowhere close to a bush fanboy. I am just sick of seeing people bitching about him like it's a fad. It's retarded.

Was there a better person for the job? probably, especially someone who could stand stronger under pressure.

Was he running in the 2000 or 2004 election? Hell no.

If either Gore or Kerry would have chosen not to invade Iraq, then they would have done a better job than Bush.

George Bush was/is an idiot, but Kerry is/was an idiot too.
