fuck i hate that i will pay a single tooth implant for 3900... that money wouldve pay for my wii u, laptop and phone :(

Yes. He first confirmed in was in the works for Wii back at E3 2008, long before Wii U was on the scene.
Loving that yellow pikmin extension line.
But yeah the graphics aren't very top-end. Luckily the aesthetics are more than enough to make this game look beautiful. Love the clay look on the pikmin and the gloss on the enemies.

It did start as a Wii game, and Nintendo's devs aren't experienced with programmable shaders and HD-level graphics.
Man, I really wish they hadn't started this on Wii . The ground just looks terrible. The whole game is visually inconsistent. You have some great looking stuff, but it's juxtaposed with terrible Wii like textures. I was mad about the delay, but now I just wish they would take the time to make it beautiful.

Wow, this really made me want to play this game. I'll have to dig out my GC copy of Pikmin soon.
Incidentally, have I missed some news about this game? Are Olimar & Louie not playable characters this time around?
I hope the Bulbmin from Pikmin 2 come back, too. They were adorably awesome.
