Started up Persona 4 Golden....again, to try and get my 100% Completion for it.  Got me thinking about how much I cannot wait for the inevitable sequel. Persona has become what Final Fanasy used to be for me pre this gen. I want to create a place for speculation and discussion on everything Persona going forward.

1. What Platform will it release on?

2. Will it break mold like 3 and 4 did after 1 and 2?

3. What new features can they bring to the series?

4. Teenage or Adult Cast?

5. Possible direction for Story?

Didn't they say they were working on it?

Imba for 3DS and piss off a lot of people. Though I think it'll be on PS3. Then again...there was this list or planned 3DS games. Considering Devil Survivor though, prolly just ports.

Would be a shame cause I def planned to get Persona 5 on PS3 if it would've been made for it.

If anything it will be on ps3 and vita. Maybe with some cross control options.

They said they started on it a long time ago, yet kept really silent. It has me wondering now if they were pulling a SquareEnix with Versus, or Bungie with Destiny. Many companies have been biding their time before they can talk about their games untill Next Gen tech had been revealed.

Also they had previously stated already that it would be available for PS3 most definitely, but you never know. Strange things happen to games while in Development. I would indeed be beyond pissed if it goes to a Nintendo platform exclusively.

I am betting on a cross gen release, PS3/PS4. Vita eventually or maybe at the same time. They seem to have a good thing going with keeping the series exclusive to PS platforms.

If they release it exclusively to the Vita Ill buy the Vita for it. I LOVED P4 Golden. I bought it and borrowed someone's vita to play it and gave them the game afterwards to repay them.

I think well see after Shin Megami Tensei IV on 3ds we wont have to worry about Persona 5 being exclusive. Besides Atlus loves Sony and they wont be dicks like crapcom.

That would make me so happy :)

What direction do you see the story going?

Persona 3's surrounded around humanity's apathy and obsession with their own destruction. Persona 4 tapped into questions about how information is abundant and creates a pseudo nihilistic culture surrounding it, also about our mortal dread of obtaining the truth we pine for.

I think they will for sure go for a even more complex ideal. With Cathrine hinting they want to take the series to a more adult themed world, I think it is likely. One possible facet could be as an adult you are forced to give up many things that would make you happy in order to take on adult responsibility, it could lead into how we are all being manipulated like puppets for some unknown purpose and in the end what does it all mean.

Here's to hoping we see some 3DS Persona love.

I seriously think that was a typo, but it still could happen. If anything that would be a port of P1-2.
