Forums - Gaming - Crytek: Graphics Are “60% Of The Game”

i would say graphics would be 40% and gameplay 60%. Just my oppinion :P

So their awesome graphix are the reason Crysis 3 scored a 76 in Metacritic? I mean, Sleeping Dogs has normal-to-average graphics and score way better than it.

EDIT: Obviously not. Gameplay is by far the 75% percent of a game, wether you like it or not. Graphics make gameplay more beautiful, but they don't do it better unless you work it hard on that area.

If graphics are 60% then why do I enjoy SNES style games more than stuff like Crysis.

"Stylistic is 60 per cent of the game".

Not quite the same as "Graphics is 60 percent of the game".

You are unfortunately taking what he said out of context.

In many ways I agree with him.

That's probably why the game deserves a 6/10.

Graphics and immersion only helps if your game is good in the first place.

Because not everyone is the same or likes the same genres. There is a reason we moved from snes to wiiu and ps4. Graphics are the most obvious diffrence between new and older consoles (the biggest exception was the Wii).

Graphics are usually less important to most people, though. 60% is way too high, but some games do sell based on that alone.

for crytek of course cause thei games don't shine gameplay wise

tetris

Do most people still play tetris nowadays? Have there been any sequels lately (I honestly don't know) ? I know there've been quite a few tetris inspired games, but they don't seem to be doing that well (Lumines comes to mind).
