Yeah, he's just stupid or foolish, or both. You wouldn't need awesome looking graphics just to show you that enemies are coming for you through the grass; it's all about the aesthetics - not the graphics. People really tend to mess those two up.

Honestly it makes sense. But its obviously not cut and dry like that all the time. Graphics are great but gameplay is also important

You can sort of create your own story with Minecraft, plus there are tons of adventure maps out there. But i brought up Minecraft, to show that they are great modern games out there that don't have top of the range graphics. And also story isn't important for every game, I just like a good story now and then, like the original Bioshock or Heavy Rain had. 

I love amazing graphics but the reality is I play games for Story. I don't play things like Cod because there is nothing there. Graphics arnt everything. That's also why I haven't played Anything this developer has made. It looks like it has no substance

Crytek games are all about graphics, not about good gameplay or good stories.

Actually in Crytek's case, graphics are 100% of the game lol.
