Crysis 3 in 3D looks incredible

I have a 40" 1080P 3D TV (active) and Crysis 3 on Xbox 360 looks amazing on it. Much better than in 2D as it not only is more immersive, it looks much sharper and more vibrant as well. Even the framerate is improved in 3D, which really surprises me as it's often the other way around.

About the game itself: it's really fun as well. It's kind of sandbox-y in the sense that you can use different playstyles to advance in the game.

I honestly didn't expect much from the game but so far I'm really impressed. It feels kind of next-gen to me (primarily because of the awesome 3D graphics). Anyone else played this game on a 3D TV?

If that is indeed the case, the graphics must be horrendus in 3D compared to 2D. I have yet to try it. I have a launch 360 so I can't do 3D on it.

Chrizum, did you play Crysis 2 in 3D? I haven't played Crysis 3 yet but I just tried Crysis 2 in 3D last week on PS3 and it was pretty cool. I had to tweak something (I think it was the 3D depth) or else it would really stutter and twitch when I turned the camera, but after that it looked smooth.

No, like I said it looks much sharper and colors are improved as well. There are some small 3D artifacts in dark areas but that comes with the technology which is still very young. Playing the game in 3D feels totally different than playing it in 2D.

Played Uncharted3 in 3D this weekend and I thought it looked like horseshit.

I switched off the 3D and it looked better, but still surprisingly bad.

Funny what time does to graphical perceptions.

The only game I've been able to play extensively in 3D is House of The Dead: Overkill it was quite enjoyable with a 3D/ Ps Move combo.

Tried Resistance 3 in 3D, couldn't do it :/

Definitely interested in trying Crysis 3 in 3D now.

It's quite fun, it's just really short... One day I will play it in 3D. :)

I haven't played Crysis 2, so I don't know if Crysis 3's 3D is different. But it is "true" 3D as it uses two images side by side, not the simulated 3D crap that was in Doom 3.

On a related note, most Nintendo games on Wii look amazing in simulated 3D. Super Mario Galaxy looks gorgeous, as do Mario Kart Wii and Metroid Prime Trilogy.

My friend has a 3 3D screen set up, powered by a rather beefy PC.

In general, I don't feel it actually adds that much as so many graphical settings have to be turned down, but it can really add to the atmosphere of some games, especially something like Metro. I guess I'll have to convince him to get Crysis 3

I have yet to play a game in 3D but I really want to. Whenever I go to play one at Best Buy or something a little kid has gotten his peanut-butter and jellified hands all over the glasses, and I'm not going anywhere near that.

EDIT: Love your pole by the way (......thats what she said), I went with "too poor".
