Even just for 1 numbered title, the following numbered title would have profited greatly from the exposure from the butthurts that no amount of advertising can top.

I was going to post something very similiar. platinum games must be stoaked. no one would of really cared had the game been ps/360 but now with the uproar everyone knows about the game and could be interested to check it out as well as being on a new system

Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if Bayonetta 2 outsold the original. Particularly due to a lack of competition from the likes of God of War and DmC. Not to mention the possibility of a Super Smash cameo.
