I agree with you. There's also the fact that The Dark Knight had the whole buzz around Heath Ledger's Joker performance and his tragic death a couple months before the movie opened.

I say $1,35 billion. The last movie should have build up a great reputation for the series.

At least 900'000'000. Could easily get over a Billion. I usually see one to three movie a year in a theatre. One of those has already been used up by Journey 2.
