Report: Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Selling Out In Japan

By Spencer . February 16, 2012 . 2:09am

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy might be a big hit for Square Enix. GetNews reports the Nintendo 3DS game flew off store shelves and sold out as soon as shops opened. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy launched today in Japan alongside Binary Domain, Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die.

Square Enix has a bunch of paid downloadable content planned for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy too. Eight songs are available today for an intro price of 100 yen a piece (they’re usually 150 yen).

We imagine Yoichi Wada is blasting the Final Fantasy victory theme while spinning a giant sword in his office right now.

Could this be the 5th evergreen title for 3DS?

Great news! But I won't celebrate until the localisation is confirmed.

And to think I was worried about this game.

Love and tolerate.

that would be good for 3DS

Guaranteed localization?

Excellent news! This is the kind of thing I want to see, 3rd parties finding massive success on Nintendo's platforms. Yay!

Yeah, once you see it in action it does look like a fun game.
