If you're an adventure fan, Broken Sword is definitely up your alley.
This doesn't necessarily mean you'll like the game but you played and liked King's Quest games which means you at least know how classic point & click adventure games work, look and feel.
Scroll down to #4 of this list http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,1401/p,22, which was just recently released by one of the largest adventure gaming websites, and you know about the reputation of this game among adventure game fans. Here's what these guys wrote about the game http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,1401/p,21.
(BTW: The whole 22 pages long feature about the Top 100 all-time adventure games which starts on http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,1401/p,1 is a highly recommendable read as well, even though I won't forgive these guys the omission of Westwood's The Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate and Dynamix' Heart of China >_>).
Some consider Broken Sword 1 (Shadow of the Templars) the very best adventure game they ever played, e.g. at least two VGChartz members as far as I remember.
While I don't agree with these people (5 LucasArts adventures will probably - and unfortunately - forever make my graphic adventure top 5), Broken Sword 1 is in my personal top 10 and Broken Sword 2 in my top 15.
I think no other graphic adventure game other than Myst was released on so many platforms as Broken Sword 1.
You already decided to play it on Wii, but I still recommend to consider playing it on iMac. It's cheaper, you can instantly download and play and the controls are better. Don't get me wrong, the Wii version is good but in my opinion currently DS/3DS and Tablet PC's are the only systems that can compete with PC/Mac when it comes to controlling point & click adventure games.
The best recommendation overall imo would be http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/broken_sword_directors_cut, as this is the only download version which contains the (better) original version of the game as a bonus, but I'm aware a PC version doesn't make sense in your case.
Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars is available for Mac on http://store.steampowered.com/app/57640
Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror (the very good successor) on http://store.steampowered.com/app/33600/
Keep in mind: This game was originally released in 1996 (shouldn't be a problem for you, you played Sierra adventure games
), and the pacing is slow - yes, even for a point & click adventure game.
