You don't need bootcamp to play the game. Download a program called ScummVM, which allows you to play 2d point-and-click adventures on your mac, even ones that are only on Windows like Monkey Island 3 and Broken Sword. Then you can get it for PC dirty cheap.
If I were you, I would download ScummVM, get the game via P2P just to try it out, and if you are satisfied with the result (you should be), then buy it.
