Forums - Sony Discussion - Anonymous targets Sony over SOPA

We are Anonymous.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

We do not forget.

Seriously hacking Bank of America, The United States Department of Defense, The United Nations, and Lockheed Martin(don't know this group).

They do not hack for freedom they are just freaking fan-boys. I will not believe that this group did not have the knowledge of the fact that Nintendo and Microsoft also joined and gave they support over the SOPA.

Lockheed Martin is a major US Defense contractor.

As an aside, I dislike Anonymous, but would work for free to correct their grammar, spelling and general use of language in these communications.

SOPA sucks but enough with targetting SONY or other companies...

If people want to stop SOPA they need to target the politicians supporting the bill -- if they are forced to believe that they will lose the next election for supporting SOPA then the bill may be stopped, otherwise its just fighting a losing battle.

(Though i guess that also organizing a massive movement to have servers moved away from the US could also help -- it would cause significant problems for the US economy and even if SOPA passed it would allow users and ISP's to circumvent the bill, though it does assume other countries and ISP's don't co-operate with the US.)

I think it is more likely that Anonymous acts as a group (although loosly knit) until Anonymous says or does something people really don't like or Anonymous are just unsuccessfull, then it was just a rogue member.  Make a threat, can't back up threat, blame rogue member.

There most definatly is a "they", just because you are Anonymous doesn't mean you don't exist.

I love how they selectively ignore Nintendo's and Microsoft's support for SOPA. This Anonymous group needs to be put down almost as badly as SOPA itself.

C'mon, why just Sony.
More proof that Anon is just fanboyz

oh come now anonymous, there are more companies than just Sony supporting the SOPA(MS and NInteno included) probably butt-hurt that their previous hacks didn't bring Sony to their knees as they thought it would.

Anonymous is a bit like a rabies infested puppydog that is angry and likes to bark a lot.  Probably not that big of a threat, but if you fall asleep, you will get infected.  It has not butt, there isn't a butt-hurt.   What you see with Anonymous, and other organizations born out of the Internet age, is loose associations of people with common interests that act in coordinated manner from time to time, with one member announcing an initiative and others either following with it or not.  There is no leadership or anything driving it.
