Nintendo has just confirmed that much-anticipated RPG The Last Story will be released in the UK on 24 February.

The Mistwalker-developed role player has been overseen by Final Fantasy creator and all-round Square Enix legend Hironobu Sakaguchi. It's been critically-acclaimed in Japan - Famitsu awarded it a near perfect 38/40 review score.

The game itself is a modern take on the traditional role playing formula, with extensive character customisation options, a unique combat system and, oddly for an RPG, online deathmatch and co-op modes.

So it's confirmed: The Last Story is coming to the UK on February 24th, proving there's still life in the Wii yet. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know by commenting below or in the Wii forum.

Man, with xenogears coming to NA and now this (which is bound to come to NA as well) I'm really missing out. I've been craving a good JRPG lately and these two games look exceptional. It actually makes me sad not having a Wii.

Just about a year after the Japanese release, so not too bad as far as localization delays go.
I still am yet to buy SO MANY games I wanted for my Wii, don't know if I'll ever have the time to get to them all.

Let's see: Last Story, KEY, DKCR, Rayman Origins, Silent Hill, Galaxy 2, Zelda, Rhythm Heaven are all musts!
Then there's maybes like Pandora's Tower, DQ10, Wario Land, Punchout!!, Wario Ware, Rodea (if it ever gets released ), de Blob 2, and multiple WiiWare and VC gems.

Nowadays even if I have the money, it just seems like I don't have the time...

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

If you were to get a Wii for this game, there are at least several other "must have" games for it that came out this generation, don't know if that makes your dilemma any easier.

I'd get Galaxy 2 (best platformer ever made), Zelda SS (best motion game made so far), Xenoblade and a few others depending on your taste in games.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
