^^' I wanted to make a thread about this a few hours ago but was scared people would spam my thread again with 'already posted before'. Anyway I enjoyed the video not especially because it is true but because I was huge Quake fan...Back in time you had Counter Strike players and Quake(Unreal) Players. Good times..

Aw.. I miss rocket jumping...

Oh good, after seeing that last bit, i feel like i am going to do a marathon playthrough of all the Quake games, i just love Quake and doom.
By the way guys, play Painkiller if you want this type of games now.

Indeed what happened... I started playing lan multiplayer with duke nukem 3D, you actually needed some skill with a rocket launcher, can't aim at someones feet.

Great video

12 years later... still the pinnacle of FPS gaming.

Quake 3 is the pinnacle because of the strafe jumping alone.

What do you mean? You don't like strafe jumping?

Heheh... yes... this game and UT2004 are the only shooters we play by LAN in my place... everything else can't compare.

Awesome video, zlejedi. Tosses me back to my Pentium 3 days ;)

Quake came before Unreal, and Unreal is just a poor man's quake, it tried to be more "Realistic" and such, and tried to compete against Quake III, they even released  earlier than they wanted to gain some market share, so they released it about a month (if i remember?) before Quake III ,  but nn the end, no one cared much, was too much of the same, that is until UT 2003 was released, that Epic Games got that iconic Bulky armored character design that they have in all their games

oh and as you notice already i was with the "Quake Rocks Unreal Sucks"club, kind of like today's Battlefield 3 vs CoD MW3 , but really more tounge in cheek and less retarded ...
