Forums - Nintendo - No Wii/DS announcements

I was quite surprised during the conference how much time they've put into the 3DS and WiiU systems (specially the WiiU). There was nearly no mention on Wii software (there was Mario Party 9 at the end but not for the Wii?), and the Four Swords for the DSi. There is time during the week, so we might hear more about future software, but maybe they're focusing on the WiiU hence the lack of software.

Those systems are coming to an end. The next generation has begun.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

What happened to The Last Story and Xenoblade?

The thing is, I was expecting them to push consumers with more motion plus software, get them to invest on the controllers before the new console comes (specially now that the controller is compatible). They haven't.

EDIT: Like I was doubting in the OP: Mario Party 9 is a Wii game. Maybe more in the e3 site, but it doesn't work over here.

So they are pretty much dropping the Wii and DS like they are a bucket of STD's?

Around the Network

and Pikmin 3 was shafted once again, I really thought that would be the swan song game for the Wii along with DQX

its make sense for the DS (because the 3DS is already out) but i can't imagine there will be nothing for the wii

i saw Kirby Wii at the end and there is always Skywaryd Sword, maybe they have some other titles that they figured weren't worth the time to announce

That they drop the DS isn't surprising, the 3DS is already out.
I expected at least one or two Wii titles being announced for the holidays, but it seems as if they stopped supporting it even before WiiU's launch (hell, even before it has exclusives being announced for it)...

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

Kirby Wii
Zelda Skyward Sword
The Last Story
Xenoblade
Mario & Sonic Summer Olympics
Mario Party 9

Not enough?

Indeed, where are Last Story and Xenoblade. This is getting ridiculous

Though there are lesser press events later today, hopefully that will answer more questions

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
