Title should say it all, but I wan to clarify why the difference in power between the Wii and the PS3/360 is not a legitimate reason a port can't happen or be too costly.
Reduced ports are not a matter of porting the difference between console processing power. They are a matter of taking the already planned concepts, gameplay, and design, and remaking them for another system. Since the above three involve all the preplanning for a game, a reduced port cannot cost as much as an original game for that system, since the preplanning is done.
Now I am sick of those who insist RE4 was not that much to port to the PS2. By the developer's own words (from some 2005 articles in EGM and OPM), they had to remake the graphics to fit on the system. Let me repeat, they had to remake the graphics. The lack of texture compression forced them to redraw pretty much every texture to reduce the effect of the reduced color depth and polygon count.
In other words, the relative difference in power was not relevant to that port. It was the effort that had to be made to make the game fit on that system. Yet the game still cost a fraction of the money, and took a fraction of the time, that an original PS2 game would.
So even if a 360/PS3 had to be completely redone for the Wii, the preplanning would already be done, so the game cannot be as much effort to port as some naysayers claim.
Plus scale is not a reason either. We've seen plenty of large scale 6th gen games. Now the above rants are not proof games will be ported to the Wii. It's just pointing out that the processing power is not about porting the difference.
Plus there could be things beyond what the Wii could do, but just insisting a game has those is not proof.
Now that those are out of the way, please use this thread to discuss why you would like to see a certain game on the Wii, and what you think would be obstacles or additions to this game.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
