Sony Retakes Lead as Most Expensive Console
Back in 2006 Sony got their console price down low enough that Microsoft's XBox 360 was the most expensive console on the market. Now with the introduction of the Sony Move and Microsoft Natal around 30% of the Nintendo faithful have claimed they will be selling their Wii and getting the another form of entertainment. It is time again for another unbiased console price comparison to be able to play every retail game so they can understand the real costs of such an expensive move. Since Sony and Microsoft are going after the casual market full force, a full casual party capable system has been priced out to get a fair comparison. (Note: Every price rounded up by 1-3 cent for easy reading)

As you can see, the PS3 is almost twice as expensive as the Wii and still clocks in $150 more than the XBox 360 which comes with a second free game. Now, while every console has gone up in price, Sony has surpassed them all by managing to increase the price by $400 compared to Microsoft's modest $50 increase. Sony seriously needs to cut the price of their system if they want to stay competitive.
*A second game is included
