I don't think you need to worry, Crimson is less demanding than SWO. |

The game runs at about 55 FPS at 1080p DLSS Quality (internal 720p) low settings on an RTX 3050 6GB (Desktop.) An RTX 3050 6GB (Desktop) on paper is something like 2xSW2 docked and 4xSW2 handheld. I'd expect SW2 Docked to pull off those settings, but with a dynamic internal resolution that varies from DLSS Performance (540p) to DLAA (native) 1080p and with a 30fps cap, given how SW2 games tend to perform in general compared to other Ampere systems. Handheld probably could get by with 360p -> 720p (DLSS) -> 1080p (spatial upscaler.) As for stable performance, that would probably depend a lot on how well their proprietary engine performs on SW2. They already have it natively on Apple Silicon, so that is a good sign (although the game is pretty hideous on Apple Silicon from my experience, that probably has more to do with poor upscaling.) |
I was mostly going off DF's coverage of the Series S version which seems to struggle with it, despite having more raw power than Switch 2.
I can see Switch 2 eking out better image quality with DLSS, it's more the rest of the package I was concerned about, particularly stuff like framerate and settings as some of those Series S scenes are pretty dire.
