I don't see why Pokemon is relevant in this discussion, its not Pokemon's fault that Sony has built an ecosystem where people mostly only care about Fortnite, CoD, EA Sports as well as AAA cinematic games.

Not wanting to encourage the obvious console warring on both sides but platformers perform well on Playstation, as does every genre. That's not an issue.

Sonic Frontiers sold better on PS5 than on Switch for example. Astro's sales are good. Them not reaching the height of Sonys AAA affair is no different from Kirby not reaching Mario numbers. It shouldn't be expected lol

Back to the OP: Both games will sell a very similar amount either way 5-6m. I think its likely Astro will beat out Zelda based on legs when all is truly said and done. Echoes hasn't been in a any charts since it's initial launch month whereas Astro frequently returned throughout 2025, almost reached top 10 again in November (UK) which is one of the most competitive months, a whole year after launch, reached 12 in US/Canada download charts December 2025 (busiest software month and also a year later) and is now randomly top 10 in Japan (where it tripled its last visible sales). It's legs are weird but they're clearly strong. Probably we won't get an update til Astro 2 is announced.
