3DS was sold at a loss when it got a price cut a few months before the holidays. Nintendo was not profiting on $169.99 for 3DS which is why it launched at $249.99.

I don't think Nintendo will eat all tariffs or be willing to sell Switch and Switch 2 at a loss.

To this day, I think Switch has never been sold at a loss once. I don't think Nintendo needs to at this point since Switch is on the way out.

They may sell Switch 1 at a loss at the very end just to clear through all the inventory that's left after they stop production. (There's always the chance that they may produce those last few additional million units JUST to pass the PS2 and nothing more. Just to get it over with and move on to 100% Switch 2 production as fast as possible.)

Possible. I could only see that as a valid strategy to clear stock as you said and to get people to buy games and NSO.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
