The point is, that if Nintendo sells 19-20M Switch 2 consoles this fiscal year, Europe will make up around 4M of that number. Which means that European sales paint a very small picture of Switch 2 global sales. Its important to point this out because fairly soon when Nintendo drops their next earnings report everyone on gaming forums will be chocked by Switch 2 sales, because they think Europe plays a more important role when it comes to Switch 2 sales than it does in reality.

It'll be above 19-20m but either way that would be higher than the amount of Switch 1's shipped to Europe in its first 9 months so why are you being so negative about how the Switch 2 is doing there? It's objectively selling well there so far. And I quite doubt people will be shocked by its performance in Europe but we'll see.

I think in his mind, the overperformance of the PS5 and the lower ratio for the Switch 2 in this important period might mean that there's an inherent problem with Nintendo's offering ... Despite the fact and the sales numbers demonstrating that this is simply not true.

One console is doing well(or great even) but it's competitior is doing even better numbers ! Therefore the former must actually be struggling/doing something bad with its current sales strategies.

I think this is the logic with which he stands currently, which is not supported in reality by comparative numbers to what Nintendo usually does in the Euro market.

Honestly, that attitude borderlines on "concern trolling". But that's prolly going too far.
