If they have enough stockpiled to last until the end of next year then that would be ideal since a price increase in 2027 wouldn't matter much.
You are going really overboard with this. You realize the Switch 2 is currently outpacing the Switch 1 in Europe and that three of the top 5 best selling consoles ever in Europe are Nintendo ones right? I don't expect it to keep outpacing the Switch 1 long term but it's really likely it'll outsell the Wii and PS1 there while you're acting like it's doing Xbox numbers. Saying it's a declining market for them when the Switch 1 is gonna become their 2nd best selling console ever there and the Switch 2 is currently outpacing it is absurd. They're literally doing the best they've done in Europe since the Wii and DS days. |
The point is, that if Nintendo sells 19-20M Switch 2 consoles this fiscal year, Europe will make up around 4M of that number. Which means that European sales paint a very small picture of Switch 2 global sales. Its important to point this out because fairly soon when Nintendo drops their next earnings report everyone on gaming forums will be chocked by Switch 2 sales, because they think Europe plays a more important role when it comes to Switch 2 sales than it does in reality.
