Played a few hours in and beat the boss of the first region.
I can echo what some others have said that if you miss what Zelda was like pre-BOTW, this might be something you'd like; it feels quite similar to classic Zelda in the areas are like a themed dungeon where you obtain a new power, use it to solve a series of obstacle, then use it to beat a boss.
Also met Myles; while he is a bit jarring, thankfully he's only around for like 10-15 minutes out of the first couple of hours so far, most of my time was still spent solo.

It definitely looks it but I'd be shocked if it was more expensive than Breath of the Wild... but I guess the number probably takes into account the fact the game restarted development in which case it makes sense.

Yeah if we count the restart it was in dev for over 8 years, which is a long time for costs to stack up.

It's also just got a lot of extra stuff most Nintendo games don't have to worry about like more detailed assets, voice acting, motion capture, a lot of cinematics, etc.

To get it looking as good as it does while running at 60fps on a system as power-limited as Switch 1 also must have taken a huge amount of engineering and optimization.

So, you are playing it on a S1, not on the 2? Interesting! I plan to get this as a physical S1 copy, but to purchase the upgrade and play on the S2 (I plan to do that to the - very few - multiplats I plan on purchasing). Have you got the upgrade already to check the differences? (assuming you have a S2, which you probably do?)
