After 18 years, it's finally in my hands.

Played through the first hour or so just now, through both the opening battle and the introduction to planet Viewros, up to just after arriving on the jungle map, Fury Green.

Despite the nearly two decades since Prime 3, it follows on from that game quite seamlessly in terms of style and feel. Samus feels great to control, the music and audio design is pure Prime, and the general tone is quite similar to Corruption.

It's perhaps the most "premium" feeling Nintendo game in a very long time in terms of production value; I can easily believe reports that this is the most expensive game they've developed to date. Visually it is stunning, by Switch 1 standards at least, quite possibly the best looking game that system has ever hosted, and the framerate is silky smooth.

Haven't met any of the Troopers yet, so will update on that once I do.

It definitely looks it but I'd be shocked if it was more expensive than Breath of the Wild... but I guess the number probably takes into account the fact the game restarted development in which case it makes sense.
