Nah. It's more of a testament to how far mobile tech has come in recent years and how good CDPR is at optimization— often lost art these days. What used to be standard is now suddenly surprising to some. You may as well say Gunstar Heroes on Game Gear makes SEGA Genesis look embarrassing. Sometimes, a good port is just a good port. |
But most of the Switch 2 ports are looking good (Street Fighter VI, Hogwarts, etc.). It's not just like Cyberpunk is tapping into some secret tier of performance and these are all just 1st gen titles.
This is what Mortal Kombat 2 looked like on portable systems back in the day, they look and sound like crap compared to the SNES/Genesis versions
And most kids didn't even have a Game Gear back in those days, it had lower sales than the Wii U lol. If you wanted to play a game like Mortal Kombat on the go, the Game Boy version was the one you got (lmao) which isn't even on the same planet as the consoles which were already a big step back from the arcade. Kids today are extremely lucky.
