| VersusEvil said: Clair 33 is slowly starting to lose my attention. Any time I step off the main story path the side content is so disproportionately difficult, honestly what’s the point? I’m level 40, got the parry system down and I’m playing on story mode all whilst being able to easily hit the damage limit and … I can’t beat anything that’s not on the main story path. It’s so discouraging. Feels like the developers don’t want you exploring at all. |
There is side content and there is end game content lol. Wait till the
is removed first. You are coming across content that's designed for you to get to when you're level 70 or 80. It is a problem even in end game, you'll be going back and forth but man, you really should have stayed on Normal or above, you should have been failing bosses and learning the timings of all enemies along the way, it's less about having the parry down and more about knowing the timings of certain attack chains and having the timing down to a degree where you can go up against these enemies when they are much harder and have back up nd being able to hold your own esspecially for one end game gaunlet area for long periods of time is a must. It would be shit and the magic would be lost to have level numbers in areas or above enemies although there is a red danger sign for areas that are well above your level, take a step back and don't completely rush, the game will still be there, ya don't need to finish is all right now. The idea is you judge how strong an enemy is and if you feel you have a chance do it try it, if not come back later. Divinity OS2 has the same problem of having high level stuff spread across hap hazardly around an open world map and you attempting this stuff may cause you to waste massive amounts of time and there are maps online that colour code areas to show where you should aim for at certain levels, idk if there is here but there should be a guide or something to help that'll probably order areas for you, would help to look for one of those.
If you aren't enjoying failing, learning and then pulling a fight off you may want to drop the game, I spent over an hour fighting one overworld boss and it it was a joy. You'll eventually start to outbuild stuff mid way through end game and gaining some key pictos will bring things closer towards your favour and at that point building becomes the fun thread mill of the game until eventually you build so well you can kill a mob stronger than you in one turn and further refine those rotations or.... one shot mobs with one character should you look up a guide (DO NOT)... but that's quite a bit off yet if you haven't finished the story and would make for a very dull experience should you come on that stuff too early, let over building happen naturally and experiment as you progress and are able to take on those tough mobs/bosses or you'll be in for one hell of a slog.
Again, do what you can, leave the stuff that is extremely difficult and push on with the story, enjoy yourself. Take it easy.
