Definitely not performing well in the open world, lots of image instability. Pop in, Shadows, image quality issues and noticeable FPS and looks nowhere near as good as the showcase on ps5. Looks more like Skyrim than Oblivion. You can almost see the fractal textures at a distance. My hopes are dashed.

How does it compare to the original on PC?

That's un-modded, but with the foliage cranked up in the settings file. It always was a beautiful game.

Mostly up close though, long distance shots had sparse trees, water wasn't great either. That must be much better now?

Anyway I see no mention of VR anywhere so not interested in playing again. Got too much to play.

I prefer the original on PC tbh, just for the greenery alone and that bloom lighting can't be replicated. Original nodded on PC would be the way to go of course. Skyblivion looks the best option.

They removed somethings very integral to the games vibes, greenery is just one example but but the sparseness the forests themselves loom different in scope, it just does not feel the same. Everything is too wide open, there's a feeling of comfort in those wodded areas where it's designed so you can't see very far and often never see the horizon. KCD2 manages this with foliage, can't believe they fucked it up here.
