The messaging, advertising, and box art would have to be super clear about that. Another Wii U type error would doom that SKU.

Right now for plenty, every dollar counts, so forcing them to buy the console with the joycons n grip for a higher price, and then buying a pro controller on top for those who'd much prefer it, doesn't make a lot of sense for a dedicated home console SKU, if Nin was going to offer it.

Just be crystal clear. Nin's done a very good job of communicating with SW2. The problem most have are the prices.

If you're gonna do that you'd be better off just including a controller I think.

For the moment anyway, Switch 2 really isn't that expensive for a new gaming system in 2025, it's not far off what the base or OLED Switch would cost today in adjusted dollars.
