I actually doubt it. The Pokemon series was already slow to adopt new platforms. I remember Black&White2 coming out for DS even though 3DS already was on the market. The customers of the series are trained to not look for the most technically advanced gaming, as is evident by the lack of visual wow, even compared to other Switch titles. I think most Pokemon players will be completely content with the Switch version.

Well we're just talking about possibilities here, but also we can't underestimate the fact that Nintendo and Pokemon will likely push ZA with the Switch 2 as the lead version in advertisement anyway so people will likely ask for it first.

Possible. But there is a price difference for folks that historically aren't too much invested into graphics. And also they would need to buy a new device. While the Switch version for lower price working with the device they already own is readily available. I don't know how much the pull from the advertisement is here. And from the direct I didn't got the impression that much changed besides frame rate and resolution for Pokemon. Kirby got new content, Mario Party new modes. Maybe there is more that they show in a dedicated Pokemon Direct. That may change this impression. So far I see not much reason to pay extra for the Switch 2 edition of Pokemon.
