I'll add mine as an example first.
We need more games that present themselves as games based on how media in the 80s/90s imagined video games to be or predicted what they would elvolve into like that game Jimmy plays in GTA5, God knows COD is getting closer every release but it's not there yet. The stereotyped mock video game from media pre 21st century.
For example, I was just chatting to someone about Metal Wolf Chaos in another thread, perfect example of what I'm talking here or High on Life as another (aside from its terrible humour) which is just a weird, fun alien shooter. Doom Eternal is another example, just pure over the top gameplay but now imagine Doom with the astethetic of an 80's arcade game based on Aliens or something and soundtrack to boot but brought up to modern standards. Another title would be MGS5 TPP, it's a rambo simulator at heart but it's not afraid to get really weird. We need more games that do retro revolution and do it in a modern way, games that aren't afraid to present themselves as weird or outside the box.
Anyway, fill in the blank in the title for fun. Lord knows we could all use a bit of fun these days.
