Anyway. This is a pointless hypothetical. Fortunately we have the 22nd Amendment and the GOP probably will be finding itself in the same place when Trump can't run again that the Democratic Party found itself in when Obama couldn't. A party with an identity but without the candidate that made that identity. 

Dems had like what, 20-25 Primary candidates, all who lost to Biden, the VP, stepping in late?

Then after one term of Biden they decide a late VP Harris is the answer?

Reps have at least 4, at least, good to go for 2032, right, after, Trump. LOL.
