What's the most difficult genre to become really good at across all games. Good enough to pick up and play a new game in the genre and be instantly good at it?

I thought I was proficient at soulsborne games, just best Lies of P with no summons apart from one boss that needed the summons mechanically and that was tough but I got through it. Then I started playing Nioh 2 again after quitting at release, it's next level for the genre, I feel if I can master this I've finally mastered the souls genre in all it's forms as it has everything difficult about them at a much faster pace than the usual and it got me thinking.

But the answer to the thread topic is bullet hell games with really high difficulty sliders, they are so difficult to master game by game. Nex Machina on the highest difficulty takes some serious skill you won't get by playing that game alone.

A second would be rhythm based games. From thumper to beat saber to guitar hero it takes thousands of hours to master the genre at a high level.

Thirdly I'd say FPS shooters. I don't believe in them anymore cuase of lag stability implentation and all the unfair fuckery that goes into match making but LAN based FPS games have a very high ceiling of skill. The 10,000 hours to master rule wouldn't even cut it. Plus you need to have mastered them before a certain age as your reflexes weign as you get older.
