Also something to note: the short sequence they showed from the second game looks totally different, so even the Wii game is a full blown remake. Which makes me think Nintendo only picked up the IP and has nothing of the original code and assets.

They did pick up both Hotel dusk and Another Code!

There is database somewhere to search for ownership of intellectual property where I a month or so back search for both Another Code/Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk. Both active and both owned by Nintendo. Cannot find the site right now however. 

Oh nice! Then they may later also make Hotel Dusk remake, at least if this recollection does decently well.
