Arcane is generally loved. People also whining that this is woke? I cannot say much about barbie, because I have 0 interest in that. But I have the feeling, that people that want to complain about the complainers cherry-pick them to fit their agenda. In reality people criticize movies for all sorts of reasons. And you will always find idiots who simply dislike a female lead. But this does not apply to many critics of many Hollywood movies, as many of these do have certain shortcomings that people dislike. Most people only suck at analyzing their feelings, and just blame "woke".
